Credit Cards

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card and American Express. When placing an order please make sure you give us the name on the card and the correct billing address.

Money Orders and Checks

Cashier’s checks, money orders and personal checks are accepted. Personal checks will be held for up to14 days pending check clearance.

Pricing Information

Discounts

3% on orders over $500.00 with Credit Card.
5% on orders over $500.00 with check or money order.
8% on orders over $1000.00 with Credit Card.
10% on orders over $1000.00 with check or money order.

Discounts do not apply to shipping charges and specially marked items. Also, discounts are applied to individual orders only.

Prices

Throughout the past years Ames Performance has tried to absorb most price increases from our suppliers. In this way, we have been able to keep our prices consistently low. We will continue to do this whenever possible; however, given the current condition with the global economy, there are certain situations where this is no longer possible. Fuel and raw material prices are rising steadily and these increases affect the cost of our products. You will notice that there are price changes throughout this catalog due to circumstances beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding.

Backorders

Ames Performance Engineering maintains an inventory that provides the lowest backorder rate in the industry. However, on some occasions, we may be out of stock on certain items. All backorders will be tracked by our computers and flagged when your backorder can be filled. We accept responsibility for shipping charges on backordered items with the exception of additional ‘oversize’ charges or truck freight items. Most back-ordered items will not be charged until they are shipped.

Warranty Policy

Ames Performance Engineering honors manufacturer warranties on all products that we sell. Most manufacturers have a limited warranty on their products that covers replacement cost of the product only. Labor and shipping costs are not included in the warranty of any product. Labor and shipping costs on warranty items, unfortunately, will be the responsibility of the consumer or installer involved. This is common practice and should be understood by our customers prior to purchasing product from Ames Performance.

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about possible exposures to chemicals that can cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
